Inishowen Co-Op Community Health & Wellbeing Event for Everyone - October 10th

Inishowen Co-Op return with another Health & Wellbeing event for everyone in the community on Thursday, October 10th , from 6.30pm, at our Carndonagh branch.

This event aims to equip everyone who comes along, with the tools, insights, and resources necessary to navigate the challenges of the upcoming winter season, focusing on both mental and physical health.

Our guest speakers include:

Niamh Britton M.Ed., B.Sc. Community Food and Nutritionist IDP

Niamh is a Community Food & Nutrition Worker at Inishowen Development Partnership. Her work primarily centres on food waste and food poverty initiatives across Donegal. Niamh is also responsible for coordinating the Healthy Food Made Easy (HFME) program, which promotes healthy eating on a budget. She will discuss the best foods to consume to boost immunity during the winter months.

 

Tracy McKeague Mental Health Counsellor

Tracy is aware of many issues with health and wellbeing through her clients. Her talk with us on the night will cover issues such as anxiety, stress, low self esteem and much more. She will give top tips on how to help in these situations and discuss tools that you can use on a daily basis to live a much more fulfilled life.

 

 

Roseena Toner True Harmony Holistic Therapies by Roseena

Roseena is a holistic therapist who delivers massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and tapping treatments. She will talk mainly about how essential oils can benefit your wellbeing and build on your immune system for the months ahead. She will also deliver demonstrations on the night.

  Roisin Doherty  General Practice Nurse

Roisin will talk to us about the importance of regular medical checks and the seasonal significance of vaccinations. "Self-care is a priority, not a luxury. Act now in advance," will be her message. Roisin will also provide free health checks throughout the evening.

 Join Us for an Informative Evening with free health checks, refreshments, and a wealth of information from community organizations, such as Men’s shed,  Insight Inishowen, Inishowen Development Partnership, Colgan hall, Accord, AA, Community centres  this event promises to be beneficial for men, women, and young people alike.
