Road Signs Up as Inishowen Co-Op Announces Home Build & Energy Efficiency Hub 2026

The road signs are officially up, and anticipation is building across the peninsula as Inishowen Co-Op confirms the return of its highly anticipated Home Build & Energy Efficiency Hub 2026.

Taking place on Saturday 21st March 2026 at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, from 11am to 4pm, this free event will bring together over 50 stands showcasing the very best in building, renovation, energy efficiency and home improvement solutions.

Designed for anyone planning a new build, undertaking a rebuild, upgrading their home or exploring energy efficiency options, the event promises practical advice, expert guidance and real clarity for homeowners at every stage of their journey.

What visitors can expect on the day:

• Timber frame and structural building specialists
• Roofing, insulation and exterior solutions
• Windows, doors and security systems
• Flooring, kitchens and interior finishes
• Paint and decorative suppliers
• Heat pumps, solar panels and renewable energy experts
• Underfloor heating and ventilation systems
• BER assessments, Part L reports and airtightness testing
• Information on SEAI grants and other available supports
• Defective Concrete Block advice, updates and homeowner support
• Virtual reality home design experiences

NEW for 2026 – Expert Speaker Series   From First Step to Finished Home.

This year will also feature a focused Expert Speaker Series: From First Step to Finished Home.

Each session will run for approximately 15 minutes, followed by a live audience Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask practical, real-life questions directly to industry experts.

Topics will include:

• Getting mortgage ready and understanding finance before you begin
• Planning permission, smart design decisions and avoiding costly mistakes
• Energy efficiency from the ground up, including heating systems and ventilation
• SEAI grants, retrofit supports and navigating applications correctly
