Guest Speakers

  • Kathryn Boylan is a psychotherapist with Best Life Therapy and Lifeline (Inishowen), offering a compassionate, trauma-informed space where clients feel safe and supported. She integrates approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to help individuals process difficult experiences, reconnect with themselves, and build lasting peace and resilience. At the event, Kathryn will share insights on how understanding ourselves more deeply can help us find ways to heal and strengthen resilience.
  • Colleen Merritt is a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Integrated Care team in Donegal. She works closely with the Inishowen Network, supporting patients referred for investigation or management of respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma. With more than 16 years in general practice, Colleen is a registered Nurse Prescriber and holds postgraduate qualifications in Community Nursing, Respiratory Nursing, and a Master’s in Advanced Nursing Practice. On the evening, she will outline simple, practical steps we can all take to protect and care for our lungs.
  • Frank Hynes is a coach, mentor, and farmer with over 35 years of hands-on involvement in the farming community. Founder of Fresh Pastures, Frank helps farmers reduce stress, improve wellbeing, and create more fulfilling lives. His talks are practical, relatable, and grounded in real farming life. At the event, Frank will share how farmers and their families can ease the pressures of everyday life and bring more balance and wellbeing into their routines.

Supporting the Community

Speaking about the event, Lizzie Kelly, Marketing Manager at Inishowen Co-Op, said:

“We are delighted to host this Health & Wellbeing Event again this year. There is always great demand for it, and it reflects the ethos of the Co-Op – to support our farming community and the wider Inishowen region. Winter can be a long and lonely time for many farmers, and we want to showcase the supports, services, and opportunities available locally. By bringing people together in one place, we hope to make it easier for our community to access help, advice, and connection.”
